Thanks so much. I did the intial sketch with a felt tip pen, then scanned it in and did a Photoshop tone pass (including the thick black border)

Thanks guys...David to your question...I did the sketch on paper on site, then scanned it in at home and colored it in Photoshop on my Cintiq. A piece of hardware EVERY artist should have!
